When Darkness Causes Confusions and Surprising Perspectives

Comedy in the Dark is a stage adaptation based on Peter Shaffer, which entertainingly yet unusually deals with the pitfalls of visibility, confusion, and stage light. The play can be seen in the Grand Hall of the Hildesheim City Theatre.

Peter Shaffer's comedy looks at the very conditions of the theater itself: what happens when visibility is not a given? How do perception, orientation, and reactions change when light and darkness play a special role? From these premises arises a play with situations, misunderstandings, and surprising twists.
