Experience Virtual Reality Up Close: Insights into Digital Worlds
On October 21, 2026, the Hildesheim City Library invites you to a free taster offer focused on virtual reality. Adults and teenagers aged 12 and up will receive a personalized introduction to using a VR headset in the entrance area and experience digital spaces directly from their own perspective.
Technology as a Sensory Art Experience
Virtual reality expands the classic screen view to include an immersive spatial effect. Movements, perspectives, and digital environments combine to create an aesthetic experience where visitors discover new forms of perception. The VR headset makes digital content physically and spatially tangible.
Individual Introduction with Expert Guidance
Under expert supervision, participants will learn the basic operation of VR technology. The taster format is aimed at adults and teenagers aged 12 and up and offers an accessible entry to digital media, interactive design, and cultural education.
Digital Education at the City Library
As an extracurricular learning location, the city library connects media literacy, technical knowledge, and collaborative exploration. The event demonstrates how virtual reality changes perception, learning, and communication. The focus is on personal exploration of digital spaces: curious, playful, and accompanied by personal guidance.
Conclusion: A New Perspective on Digital Worlds
The VR taster offer promises an immediate art experience between technology, space, and imagination. Those wishing to discover virtual reality without barriers and personally experience the exhibition atmosphere of digital worlds will find a suitable place for this aesthetic experience at the Hildesheim City Library.
