Gnome Christmas: Small Children Discover the World of Books

When it becomes festive in the city library, children aged 1 1/2 to 3 years, along with their caregivers, experience a loving storytime and activity hour. The Gnome Christmas combines picture books, finger games, and singing into a warm family experience filled with children's laughter, closeness, and first joys of stories.

Listening, Wondering, and Discovering Together

Picture books open up first access to language and the world of reading for small children. While listening, images are formed in their heads, familiar words invite them to speak along, and shared moments strengthen the bond between children and adults. The festive atmosphere makes the library a cozy place for curiosity and discoveries.

Finger Games and Songs for Small Hands

Finger games engage children in a particularly child-friendly way. Movements, repetitions, and simple language support attention and create an age-appropriate learning experience. While singing, little ones experience rhythm, sound, and community. Thus, language promotion is playfully integrated into family life with a lot of joy.

A Loving Introduction to Language and Reading

The event specifically targets children aged 1 1/2 to 3 years. At this age, short, varied impulses promote the development of language, listening, and social interaction. Reading aloud, singing, and participation alternate, giving children space to join in at their own pace.

Conclusion: Shared Time with Christmas Magic

The Gnome Christmas in the library offers families a calm, stimulating break during Advent. Young visitors experience stories, songs, and finger games in a protected environment. Anyone wishing to provide their child with a child-friendly access to books and language will find a special shared hour here.
