When museum objects suddenly give you goosebumps
On October 30, 2026, the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum Hildesheim will transform into a mysterious adventure space for families, curious children, and Halloween fans. At Spooky Wooky: It is Served – Reach into the Sack of Horror, an interactive tour will guide you through the permanent exhibition It is Served.
Feel, puzzle, discover
The focus is on a mysterious spooky sack. Inside are unusual objects that can be touched, guessed, and decoded together. Every touch opens a new clue, every shape awakens a story. The examination of the works combines sensory experience with playful mediation and makes museum objects accessible in an unusual way.
A haunting journey through the exhibition
The atmosphere of the exhibition thrives on darkness, tension, and surprising narratives. Mysterious finds and the secrets of the world of the dead form the narrative framework for an art experience that not only observes historical objects but makes them directly palpable. The tour connects cultural education, museum pedagogy, and aesthetic experience into a special Halloween evening.
Halloween at RPM
The program is aimed at the whole family and takes place inside the museum. The tour lasts 45 minutes and is limited to 20 participants. On the day of the event, there are two time slots available: at 5:30 PM and at 7:30 PM. The 5:30 PM slot is already fully booked according to the museum.
For visitors in costume, the museum has an additional surprise: they will receive a 5 Euro discount on their next museum visit. Entry costs 15 Euros for adults and 5 Euros for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17.
Conclusion: A family experience between museum and horror story
Spooky Wooky opens an unusual access to the RPM collection: playful, atmospheric, and with plenty of room for curiosity. Anyone who wants to touch mysterious objects, discover hidden stories, and experience the museum with all their senses should not miss this hauntingly beautiful tour live.
