Dominik Decker & Band: Between Gravity and Weightlessness

On Friday, October 23, 2026, Dominik Decker and his band invite you to a concert evening filled with atmospheric depth at the Glashaus Derneburg. The program Balance Balance combines jazz, ambient, and singer-songwriter aesthetics into music that begins softly, expands widely, and resonates for a long time.

When the Guitar Tells Stories

Dominik Decker treats the guitar not just as an instrument, but as a narrating voice. Filigree lines meet warm soundscapes, fragile moments alternate with harmonic density. His music opens spaces for silence, expanse, and emotion, focusing on the subtle changes within a sound image.

Jazz, Ambient, and delicately set Electronics

In Balance Balance, gently set beats, floating Mellotron layers, and nuanced guitar playing merge. The orchestration remains transparent, while the individual layers breathe together. Thus, a sound emerges between acoustic intimacy and atmospheric vastness, between gravity and weightlessness.

From the Studio of International Productions to the Stage

Decker completed a jazz study and worked as a songwriter on productions with gold and platinum awards. His guitar playing can also be heard on recordings by Depeche Mode and Placebo. As the guitarist of the Hanoverian band Marquess, he has been performing on national and international stages for years. The solo album Balance Balance was released in 2025 and includes eleven tracks.

A Concert to Listen and Immerse

The live atmosphere at Glashaus Derneburg promises a concentrated concert experience with plenty of room for sound nuances. Instead of grand gestures, the stage performance focuses entirely on the synchronization of guitar, layers, and rhythm. The audience's mood arises from collective listening: attentive, calm, and supported by a quiet intensity.
